Nice
I've never heard the song, but this sounds awesome. The soloing is great and very diverse, as in its not stuck to the pentatonic. Keep submitting more music, its great.

It's a 80's pop song that I gave more of a rock spin to.
DHT also did a techno cover of it that got pretty popular.
Decent
Too much distortion to be like clapton's version but it sounded nice and was original.
Some of the bends were off a bit and there should have been some vocals but oh well. Sounds like you've gotten faster, especially at the end.
Thx for the review, I feel that I have gotten a little better and have a better control on my soloing when I really want to. As for vocals, this was more of a jam session type thing than anything else (orginally a demo for my collab with da_pope). I have no confidence in my voice and if I were to do something with vocals I'd post it on another site and possibly ask you for an opinion, we'll just have to see what happens.
P.S. looks like my collab with da_pope is finally rolling so look foward to that.
P.S.S. Again with the bends! This time it was on purpose (Looked back at the acoustic review, ignore my responce as I found the ugly bend in the song, it's kinda hard to bend so far up the neck on mine.), I guess it's part of my style.

Nice!
I like to see that your soloing outside of the pentatonic scale. Has a nice sound to it. You screwed up a little on the ending. Did you plan any of it at all or was it on the spot?
Yea I try to utilize most of the major scale and all it's connecting notes when I can. And 99% of it was just improv. Some of the repeating patterns I borrowed from other solos I've made up or learned.
Repetitive
Its too repetitive and many parts are out of tune. Also, the distortion sounds really bad. Are you using the distortion from the wah-wah pedal?
I suggest you don't cause it creates a really ugly distortion. Get a nice distortion pedal, like the digitech metal master, its only about $50.
ya that actually was an RP300A digitech, which goes for 200, but i was really just messing around, and the volume coming into the computer was to loud, so that's why it sounded so bad
Jazzy
Sounds great. Has a jazz-like quality to it. Keep on writing music, its really good. Is this your work or the Go Faster Stripes?
Everything is the Go Faster Stripes
The lead guitarist did this in his spare time.
Different...
Interesting take on Clapton's Cocaine. The tempo wasn't always steady and your acoustic playing can use some work, though I shouldn't be talking :) Just a note, in the beginning, you do a bend and let it ring, but the bend is off tune a little.
Overall, nice work.
Did song in one take per part (this one I really will touch up on) The slide (not bend) wasn't out of tune it was out of key (I know that's even worse -_-), I was too lazy to edit it though. Thx for the nine and yes, I know my acoustic needs work.

Damn
That was awesome and your voice really fit in with the song. Hendrix wasn't much of a singer, and sung in his unique style. I noticed that it was in a different key, and no bell :( Let me attempt to give advice. The guitar was very close in the intro but I think he had too much bass on and it sustained a bit longer than the original intro.
You've really been busy lately, doing a lot of recording. You strucked luck when you hooked up with Mike Albert :)
Yeah This song was in a different key we did an "E" while the original was I believe in a "C". and yeah yeah I agree there was a little too much bass in the guitar. but thanks for the review.
psychedelic
Very creative and psychedelic tune. I like the echo effects on the guitar and the singing is very psychedelic. Sounds similar to something I've heard before. What effects were used on the voice?
From a band member: lol, pretty easy effect to attain. Just record the vocals through a PA with crappy speakers. I guess it does make for an interesting effect.
Thanks for the good review, glad you enjoy it.
Perfect
Iced Earth rules, sucks that most havent heard of them. This sounds just like the original song, perfect cover. You and Speedmetalmessiah are awesome.
Thanks for the review. Yeah it is a shame that iced earth aren't really known.
